Enrolments for children entering Kindergarten (DOB 01/07/2012 to 30/06/2013) are now being taken. Application forms are available from the school office.
Enrol early – with an increasing student population parents need to enrol ASAP to ensure a place is made available. Please pass this message on to any families that you may know who are eligible for enrolment. The weather was kind to Mrs Harris and Miss Coole's classes allowing them to walk to the Iluka Capel Library to listen to "I Got This Hat", a book being read around the country on Wednesday 25th May. The children enjoyed hearing the story about a child who owned many different types of hats, and then were very excited to look around the children's section of the library and discover great books, DVDs, puzzles and comfy bean bags and seats. Many of the children wore their favourite hat on the outing. Thank you to Mrs Anne Ingram and the staff of the Iluka Capel Library for hosting the reading.
Like ships at sea, students, teachers and parents appeared through the fog. At least it wasn't windy and raining; in fact it was a fun morning to walk to school.
Congratulations to Room 11 students who ran the last assembly and sang and signed John Lennon's 'Imagine' using AUSLAN (Australian Sign Language). Congratulations also to the students who received merit certificates or achieved their bronze badges .
Three new featherfoot chickens are enjoying their stylish chook house and room to range in the school vegie patch chook pen.
Mother Gloria and her two half grown chickens Hero and Sylvia are settling in well and getting used to the happy sounds from the Kindy next door. Hopefully the children will be collecting eggs come spring. After many years of being without a bus run for the farming families to the east of the school, we now have one. We welcome bus driver Mr Warwick Green and the little white bus.
