Breakfast Club
Breakfast Club is held every Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, in the Art/Science Room. Monday and Tuesday we are open from 8.15am to 8.40am, and we serve toast, juice, and sometimes spaghetti, or fruit. We've been known to have pancakes and muffins, too, so come along and see what's on offer. On Wednesday we cook up bacon and eggs on the BBQ, and that is served at 8.35am, just after the first bell, as we insist that all students have taken their bag to class and set up their desk before they come to breakfast.
Student councillors are rostered on to help with preparation and serving each morning, however every student is asked to wash up their own cup and plate. The food is kindly supplied by Foodbank Bunbury and the Capel Bakehouse, with any other items being purchased using donations. Occasionally we have eggs donated by a parent - we love that! Some cooking equipment and utensils were provided by Capel CWA, through a Bendigo Bank grant, and we really appreciate all this local support to make our Breakfast Club possible.
All students in the school are welcome, from Kindy to Year 6, so come along and join us.
