Meet Emma Strong, our Chaplain at Capel Primary School-
My days at Capel Primary are Monday, Wednesday and Friday.
I reckon I have the best job in the world. I get to have fun at school all day, learning new stuff in class, keeping fit with drama and dance sessions, playing with students at recess, and helping others when they need it. Technically speaking my role as Chaplain is to be a support to students, staff and parents, but that doesn't capture the sheer pleasure I get from doing my job. Any student, parent or teacher can contact me at school for support, be it school issues, personal issues, peer issues with the child, stress, or whatever it may be. I am only too happy to help, or offer suggestions of help from elsewhere.
I grew up in England, came to Australia at 21, and became a School Chaplain after working in retail, radio, and other random jobs.
