At Capel Primary School, we are committed to maintaining a safe, inclusive, and respectful environment for all students. Below are key policies that support positive learning and wellbeing.

📄 Good Standing Policy – Download Here (PDF)
Our Good Standing Policy outlines the expectations for student behaviour and engagement, promoting a positive and respectful learning environment at Capel Primary School.

👕 Dress Code Policy
We expect all students to wear the official Capel Primary School uniform, which promotes school identity and pride while ensuring comfort and safety during learning and play.
  • Uniforms must be worn during all school activities unless otherwise advised.
  • Broad Brimmed Hats are required for outdoor play in months with the letter "R" in line with our “No Hat, No Play” rule.
  • Shoes must be closed-toe and suitable for physical activity.

📱 Mobile Phone Policy
To support focused learning and wellbeing, mobile phones must be turned off and kept out of sight during school hours, including recess and lunch.
  • Students are not permitted to use mobile phones or smart devices during school time.
  • Phones brought to school must be handed in or stored securely until home time.
  • Breaches of this policy will result in parent contact and possible device restrictions.

☀️ Extreme Weather Policy
Student safety is our priority during periods of extreme weather, including excessive heat, or storms.
  • During high heat days, extended sun exposure and physical activity are limited.
  • In stormy or wet weather, students remain in supervised undercover areas during breaks.
  • Events and excursions may be postponed or modified depending on conditions.
